BSP – Theatre Sports<\/b>

On Saturday 27th April, Newton College hosted this year’s Theatre Sports event, a day where student artists from our BSP community get together to do what they enjoy the most: theatre. Newton College’s IB theatre students were in charge of developing, leading and directing the activities for the day, which focused on improving improvisational skills.<\/p>\n

It started with all the students warming-up their bodies on stage, exploring different ways of walking and interacting with each other. After several exercises and activities, the participants were then divided into smaller groups, and each group were given a mystery box with texts, maps, props and costumes which they had to interpret and use on stage in order to develop a short improv scene.<\/p>\n

It was amazing how each group used their imagination and their creativity to execute such a clear and cohesive final performance in front of their peers.<\/p>\n
