STEM Challenge

On Wednesday, 21st August Newton College hosted the annual STEM Challenge. The event brought together six different BSP Schools and the students enjoyed sharing their scientific knowledge and putting it into practice in the day’s activities. In mixed teams, the morning challenge was to create a plastic cup tower by only using string and rubber bands and also to design a precious mug. After lunch the budding scientists had to create a laser circuit to prevent this mug from being stolen by any would-be thieves (acted out superbly by the Newton College Science team!) Everyone had a great day sharing in their knowledge, meeting new friends and having a lot of fun as well!
